MindRising is open to a variety of entrants schools, group and individuals.
- primary and early post primary schools on the island of Ireland
- groups e.g. CoderDojo, Sports clubs, Scouts, etc.
- international schools with an interest in the history or future of the island of Ireland
- individuals on the island of Ireland

Eligible Entrants
Primary Schools on the island of Ireland
- Republic of Ireland Primary Schools (1st Class to 6th Class)
- Northern Ireland Primary Schools (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2)
Secondary Schools on the island of Ireland
- Republic of Ireland Secondary Schools (1st Year to 2nd Year)
- Northern Ireland Primary Schools (Key Stage 3)- check NI school setup to align
International Schools
International Schools – schools not on the island of Ireland who have an interest of connection to the past or future of the island of ireland
- International Baccalaureate Grades 2-8 (or equivalent local levels) are eligible to enter.
Groups
- Independent Groups such as but not limited to CoderDojos, Scouts, sporting clubs (GAA, soccer, rugby, basketball etc.) are eligible to enter MindRising.
- Team members for entrants from independent groups must be under the age of 14 on the 1st January 2016 to be eligible to enter.
- All Independent Groups will be entered into the Senior competition automatically
Individuals
- Individuals supervised by a parent, guardian or teacher are eligible to enter the competition.
- Individuals must be under the age of 14 on the 1st January 2016 to be eligible to enter.
