MindRising is open to a variety of entrants schools, group and individuals.

  • primary and early post primary schools on the island of Ireland
  • groups e.g. CoderDojo, Sports clubs, Scouts, etc.
  • international schools with an interest in the history or future of the island of Ireland 
  • individuals on the island of Ireland

Eligible Entrants

Primary Schools on the island of Ireland

  1. Republic of Ireland Primary Schools (1st Class to 6th Class)
  2. Northern Ireland Primary Schools (Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2)

Secondary Schools on the island of Ireland

  1. Republic of Ireland Secondary Schools (1st Year to 2nd Year)
  2. Northern Ireland Primary Schools (Key Stage 3)- check NI school setup to align

International Schools

International Schools – schools not on the island of Ireland who have an interest of connection to the past or future of the island of ireland

  1. International Baccalaureate Grades 2-8 (or equivalent local levels) are eligible to enter.

Groups

  1. Independent Groups such as but not limited to CoderDojos, Scouts, sporting clubs (GAA, soccer, rugby, basketball etc.) are eligible to enter MindRising.
  • Team members for entrants from independent groups must be under the age of 14 on the 1st January 2016 to be eligible to enter.
  • All Independent Groups will be entered into the Senior competition automatically

Individuals

  1. Individuals supervised by a parent, guardian or teacher are eligible to enter the competition.
  • Individuals must be under the age of 14 on the 1st January 2016 to be eligible to enter.
